issues that the Children, Young People and Education Committee
should consider during the Fifth Assembly?

Spending
implementation and impact of the Social Services and Wellbeing
Act
Scrutiny of the
impending ALN reform and the support for families and young people
to obtain independent advice and information from the outset of
concerns about their child – projecting the possible increase
in funding needed to support parents through the new
processes.
Mental health
issues for young people in Wales, waiting times and supportive
measures – costs and impact eg what is the long term cost to
schools and families of not meeting needs early and what are the
projected costs of long term support for children who may go on to
be expelled from or refusing to go to schools
